Kenakena School Council

Thank you to everyone that participated in Green Day. It was a lot of fun. We raised $206 for The Enviroclub as well so every thing was a big success.

We are looking at getting a Flying Cableway (flying fox), this will be for the seniors only.

The toilet block by the sand pit has got hand driers- thank you.

School Wipeout, we still need to make a proposal for the teachers to see. If it does happen it will probably be in term 1 next year.

No teachers are interested in a Kenakena idol/talent quest.

If you use the bike rack at the back. You will have to chain up your bikes because no-one is keeping an eye on the bike rack.

The student council will be putting up a proposal to have a school wipeout.

Rubbish

People are dumping their rubbish in the playground. You can take your rubbish home in your lunch box or put your rubbish in the bin.

Kenakena Student Council Report

February 2010

The student council has had their first meeting. These are some of the issues we have discussed:

Plastic Cricket Bats

These bats have been giving “shocks” to people who are batting. Some wooden bats may be trialled to see if it is worth the extra cost.

Water Fountain!

Room 1 and 2 are getting remodeled. There is going to be a water fountain put near their rooms. The water fountain near the field tastes dirty and is hot but we can’t do anything about it. You still need to bring your water bottle to school.

Tackle rugby and tackle bullrush

The School Council has requested that tackle rugby and tackle bullrush be allowed. The teachers have decided that we can play if supervised. It must be supervised by a duty teacher at all times. Mr Mc Donald has given permission for us to play tackle rugby on the condition that students know the rules and that you must bring a mouth guard. The students will be informed in the day book each week, about which lunchtime it will be on.

For Kenakena School Council.
